Akron, Ohio Engagement Pictures

So one of my favorite things, as a wedding and engagement photographer, is being able to tell a couple's story. Usually it's just the tiniest glimpse into who a couple is and how much love they have for each other. But sometimes, there's even more to it. For Mallory and Jon's engagement pictures, we visited three different spots in Akron, Ohio that each offered a deeper meaning for them and together truly told their story as a couple. We seriously couldn't have found locations any more perfect for them!

We started out the afternoon at the Cascade Valley Park, at the exact spot actually, where they got engaged. Since they are an active outdoorsy couple who enjoys hiking often, Jon took Mallory on a hike to pop the question. Once he got her to the perfect spot (near the water), he asked her to spend her life with him - and of course she said yes! Next we headed to Stan Hywet where Mallory and Jon will be getting married this May. Walking the grounds and checking out the areas we will be re-visiting on their actual wedding day was so much fun! Finally, we finished out the day at Akron's San Run Park, where Mallory and Jon first met up in person, just as the sun was starting to set.

The absolute best part of going to all three of these locations that mean so much to this couple, was the story (or stories) that unfolded as we went. I always love getting to know our couples, after all, it's super important for a couple to get along with their wedding photographer... so getting to hear the cute stories that make Mallory and Jon's relationship unique was icing on the cake!
