I am so excited to feature this awesome Wedding Coordinator/Designer - or as I like to refer to her - the best pro DIY-er in Ohio!! Meet Damara! Seriously this girl does such a fabulous job making weddings look totally amazing! I fully recommend that all the brides out there check her our and hire her to take their weddings to the next level. She can craft up just about anything you can imagine. I got to check out Damara's awesome work at a Hoover Park Wedding in North Canton recently, and you can see all the good stuff in the pictures below. I also asked Damara to give us more information on her and her 'ReInspired Bride' business, so read all about it below!

Q&A

Q. Who are you and what do you do?

A. I (unknowingly) started my career when I planned my wedding 9 years ago! It was my first handmade/diy event that I had ever designed. Since then I have helped my friends with their weddings and I have crafted up all of my kids birthday parties. My kids are 4 and 6, which puts 10 of their parties under my belt, plus baby/bridal showers, and other misc parties. Over the years, my family and friends have been urging me to go in to business, so this year I FINALLY did it!

I custom design and hand make decorations specific to each bride's vision for her big day. I can also offer design services for brides that might be overwhelmed with their pinterest boards, want to craft everything themselves, but maybe just needs a little direction. Since most brides are busy getting beautified on their wedding days, I also have a crew available for set-up and tear-down services. In addition to these services, I am also a day-of wedding coordinator.

Q. When did you start your business and what inspires you to keep going? 

A. I officially launched my business this January, but I've been designing and planning events ever since my wedding in 2005. It doesn't take much to keep me going at this point. Since I just started, it's still new and exciting, but I don't see that excitement leaving anytime soon. I actually began working in the wedding industry 11 years ago, selling bridal gowns, and I'm still loving it!

Q. What is your favorite part about what you do?

A. I love that every wedding is different, and that they're always evolving. Every couple has unique characteristics, and it's a fun challenge to use my creativity to tell their stories and show their personalities. 

Q. What do you pride yourself on most? 

A. My goal is to please my client. I will give my opinion or suggestion and if they don't agree or prefer something that I don't particularly like, I'm not going to force my preference on them. I'm here to bring THEIR vision to life and if anything, enhance their ideas and hopefully exceed their expectations. I often see brides being pushed in to something because of someone else's preference. I never want my clients to feel that way. It's all about them!
